Enter the competition to be in with a chance of having your artwork displayed at COP26 and show the rest of the world your vision for the future.

‘Pedal-Powered Poems’ encourages pupils to practice their creative writing by penning their own acrostic poem about their favourite active way to travel! We encourage you to go for a family walk, scoot or cycle first to get a little bit of inspiration for their poem!
Share: We’d love to hear your brilliant poems. Share pupil poems (or even recitals!) with Sustrans as per details on leaflet, or email them to rhowe432@c2kni.net and I will send them on. Some might even be included in the next regional newsletter! The worksheet (attached) contains an example that I wrote myself to help give pupils some ideas to get started.

We are aware that remote learning places additional burdens on the use of IT equipment for all families. We are delighted to let you know that following a successful application, Rasharkin Primary School has been given thirty free data SIMs to help with this. The SIM cards have 30GB of data, which is valid for 90 days from activation. These can be used on some ‘smart’ laptops’ or can be inserted into a mobile phone to then ‘tether’ laptop off. If you feel this is something your family could use please contact Mrs R. Howe to arrange for collection. SIMS will be allocated on a first come basis.
The EA scheme which offers Chromebook on loan to children in P4 & P7 is still open for applications (contact Mrs R. Howe for more information). An application has also been made to the Causeway Coast and Glens COVID-19 Support fund to purchase devices that could be offered on loan to children in other year groups. More information will follow if it is successful.
