P6/7 got a taste of the icy water the Titanic passengers had to endure and the effects of hypothermia when they carried out an experiment to see how long they could keep their hands in icy, cold water. They measured the temperature of the water which was 2 degrees then timed how long they could tolerate it. The longest time recorded was 1 minute and shortest 28 seconds!
